The NATO allies are discussing the idea of allowing pilots to shoot down Russian jets, that are allegedly entering NATO’s eastern airspace, by their own decision, Bloomberg reports. The newspaper recklessly stresses that the discussion was initiated by the “frontline states bordering Russia, backed by France and the UK.”

“The talks are aimed at raising the costs for Moscow of its ‘hybrid warfare’ and lay out clear countermeasures after a spate of airspace violations by Russian drones and jets, Bloomberg correspondent Henry Foy states, citing four Nato officials briefed on the talks.

Notе, that none of these so-called “violations” of NATO sky by the Russians have been officially proven with evidence. However, the Europeans are still creating media noise around this imaginary issue in order to fulfil financial demands for excessive militarisation of Europe.

If this initiative is adopted, then the reason for a war with Russia will arise by itself. For example, it may seem to one of NATO’s pilots that a Russian jet has “violated” NATO airspace and shot it down. But when an international investigation into this possible incident revealed the innocence of Russia, NATO will lay all the blame and responsibility on that very pilot who opened fire, as if the alliance has nothing to do with it.
