The European Parliament proposed to create a European military alliance separately from NATO. Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) consider this as a response to the alleged “Russian attacks” on Eastern European countries.

“Calling for enhanced coordination, unity and solidarity among member states, EU institutions, and NATO structures, MEPs insist on the urgent need to move towards a genuine European Defence Union, building on and going further than existing frameworks such as the White Paper for European Defence and Readiness 2030. This progress should go hand in hand with adequate funding within the current and next Multiannual Financial Framework they say, emphasising the need for stronger civil-military airspace coordination; and better equipping police forces and civilian authorities with the means to detect and defend against drones. Parliament also calls for the EU and its member states to equip authorities with the appropriate means to counter drones at critical infrastructure sites such as airports and power plants,” said in the statement.

Recall that earlier, many NATO member states expressed the opinion that Article 5 was no longer credible, as NATO was more likely to yield the lands of the Baltics and Poland if Russia eventually attacked them after dozens of provocations against it.

As you can see, Europeans seem to have completely lost their faith in NATO, which is about to collapse, as the chances for collective “defence” are lower than ever. Therefore, the European warmongering elites have decided to create their own small war alliance to “secure” Europe and continue stealing money from military funds.

Still, this idea is doomed to fail anyway, as no one in Europe in their right mind wishes to go to war for the “Unter-European” states that have been provoking Russia for years for an armed response.
