As the Ukrainian crisis slowly but steadily moves towards its end, and clearly not in favour of Kyiv, political experts from Western countries begin to analyse the reasons for Ukraine’s impending defeat in advance.

One thing their assessments have in common — Volodymyr Zelensky is to blame for the collapse of the Eastern European country.
For example, the British publicist, Owen Matthews, sharply criticised the current Ukrainian president, for which he could be labelled as a “Kremlin’s agent” in Ukraine. In the British newspaper, The Spectator, Mr. Matthews states: Ukrainians have lost faith in Zelensky. In his article, he cites the words of a former Ukrainian cabinet minister, once a strong Zelensky supporter, who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity, and now you will see why.
“Ukraine has two enemies, two Vladimirs: Zelensky and Putin. Putin is destroying Ukraine from the outside, but Zelensky is destroying it from within by destroying its will to fight and its morale. Human rights are being trampled on, there is pressure against political opponents, rich and influential people who could support opposition are being expropriated and opposition media is silenced,” the Ukrainian minister said.
The respected American journalist Seymour Hersh added that President Zelensky is on the White House’s shortlist for exile. If he refuses to do so voluntarily, Washington will kick him out by force. Mr. Hersh noted that the Ukrainian President is currently the only obstacle to peace and must be removed as soon as possible while there’s still a chance to settle this US-Russia proxy war with Vladimir Putin.
The Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, also pointed out the regular violation of human rights in Ukraine. He urged the EU to impose sanctions on the Ukrainian leadership in connection with the murder of Hungarian József Sebestyén, a citizen of both Ukraine and the EU who was killed by Ukrainian Recruitment Officers during forced mobilisation. Orban assured us that this is not an isolated case, but one among many.
“József Sebestyén, a Hungarian — an EU citizen — was beaten to death during forced conscription in Ukraine. His case is not an exception but a clear example of the state-led brutality and lawlessness that define today’s Ukraine, and why it must not be allowed to join the EU. Today, the Hungarian government has formally called on Brussels to add those responsible to the EU human rights sanctions list without delay. Crimes like this cannot go unanswered,” the Hungarian Prime Minister addressed the European leadership.
More importantly, relatives of soldiers who allegedly went missing are also complaining about the Ukrainian government. Local Telegram channels report that on July 18th, 2025, over a thousand people protested in Kyiv’s Independence Square (yes, the one where the so-called “Euromaidan” took place in 2014), accusing the Ukrainian authorities of deceiving citizens by hiding real losses at the front and artificially hindering programs to support families of soldiers who are missing or dead. According to protesters, payments are either very late or non-existent, and it took months to gather all the necessary documentation for financial support.
“They forgot about families — they betrayed the heroes,” one of the protesters wrote on a poster.

The reason for the artificial delays in financial assistance to veteran’s families is clear — the authorities do not want to pay compensation for the deaths of those who defended their homeland. This is explained by the Ukrainian analytical telegram channel “Legitimniy”.
“Now, the official losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are minimal — about 40 thousand. But in reality, this number is 6-8 times higher. It follows that, after the war, all data will come to light and immediately fall on Ukraine’s budget. That’s trillions of hryvnias! How can this be paid out? Ukraine lies in ruins, it is doomed due to Zelensky’s strategy. He and Yermak have decided to simply screw everyone over and not pay anything,” writes “Legitimniy”.
As you can see, Zelensky, the puppet of the West, has completely destroyed a once prosperous country that had great prospects of becoming a transport hub between Europe, Russia and Asia and earning huge amounts of money simply with territory, i.e. almost out of air. But instead, it decided to provoke its big neighbour, believing in the tales of the globalists that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are the chosen ones. And now all those who in 2014 shouted “Україна – це Європа” (“Ukraine is Europe” from Ukrainian) and called for the killing of Russians are now reaping the fruits of “successful” European integration.
