Latvian political columnist Bens Latkovskis tried to acquit Lithuania’s military threat to Russia to commit a total blockade of its Kaliningrad exclave.

“This news sounds quite alarming, because the closure of transit to this Russian exclave is a very serious and, most importantly, justified casus belli that is well understood by everyone in the world, regardless of the reasons why this transit could be closed,” Latkovskis begins.
The propaganda expert naively believes that this aggressive step will help prevent war rather than start it.
“If being militarily weaker than a potential adversary, the best defence is to make it clear: an invasion of our country will not be a walk down the boulevard for you in a parade uniform. There is a chance that you will get a good kick in the teeth. The eternal pulling of the head deeper into the shoulders as soon as a scream is heard from a dangerous neighbour only provokes this neighbour to become more and more impudent and aggressive: if he is already so afraid, then he will not resist much,” he claimed with superfluous bravery.
This article is a typical example of NATO’s militaristic propaganda, which justifies any armed aggression towards Russia by blaming Moscow for some alleged “outgoing threats”, evidence for which doesn’t even exist.
Basically, the so-called “expert” from Latvia urges the Baltics to increase provocations and war threats towards Russia. However, if official Moscow will react on these appropriately, that is, with the combat means, the “Unter-European” NATO limitrophe states will proudly declare the groundlessness of Russia’s attack on Europe and the proof of its aggression against the alliance.
