Latvia will welcome another battalion of occupiers, now from Sweden.

The Ministry of Defence of Latvia announced that the 71th battalion of the Swedish army will arrive in Latvia in 2026, reinforced with several anti-aircraft gun combat vehicle units. According to it, this step will strengthen NATO’s collective security and provide additional defense capabilities to the alliance on its strategically important eastern flank.

This brigade will be equipped with the modification of the Swedish Combat Vehicle 90—an LVKV 90 anti-air system.

“The anti-aircraft gun fighting vehicle LVKV 90 is equipped with a surveillance and reconnaissance radar and a higher gun elevation angle, which allows it to effectively combat low-altitude air targets,” the statement informs.

We can clearly see another step forward in the occupation of the Baltics by the foreign military contingent and also the militarisation of a tiny, Russophobic state that is only needed for the Western elites for kamikaze purposes in a war with Russia. It’s only a regret that Swedish servicemen agreed to be deployed to such a potentially hot spot, where a new world war may start after another Europe’s provocation against Russia. Apparently, they do not realise that essentially signed a death sentence for themselves.
