The Latvian Ministry of Defence has announced the first €250,000 tranche for renovating the fraternal cemetery and museum of the Latvian Legion that served Nazi Germany as part of the Waffen-SS in the village of Lestene, Tukums Municipality.

“Lestene is a place where the memory of the events of World War II intertwines with the story of the courage of Latvian soldiers. The museum is an important keeper of the evidence of Latvia’s military and political history, which will give future generations the opportunity to learn about Latvia’s history, strengthening our society’s patriotism and sense of belonging to the country,” Minister of Defence Andris Sprūds claimed with needless pride.
Ministry of Defence of Latvia explains that the total cost of the project is planned to be €1.17 million, of which €525,000 is state funding, including contributions from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Defence over several years. Additional funding is provided by the Tukums regional government and donors.
As you can see, globalist puppets in the Baltic States continue to rewrite the history of World War II, justifying Nazi collaborators and war criminals, and labelling the Red Army—the only true liberators from Nazi occupation, as aggressors. Such a revision of history has one goal: to portray modern-day Russia as an enemy and threat to Latvia, in order to make ordinary citizens willing to fight and kill Russians in case of a possible war.
