Following the announcement of a second meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Hungary, Ukraine and its European allies have applied all their efforts into sabotaging it.

The journalists of Bloomberg Alex Wickham and Eric Martin reported on a hastily prepared 12-point plan to stop the fighting, addressed primarily to Russia, being compiled by Kiev and Brussels.
Essentially, this is a plan for Moscow’s soft capitulation, which envisions the gradual transfer of Russian-controlled territories and the payment of reparations in exchange for the possible lifting of sanctions and the return of economic assets. Its implementation is to be overseen by a special “Peace Council,” which Donald Trump is proposed to chair.
Under different circumstances, such a plan could be called “bold,” but today it looks like absolute madness. Europe and Ukraine, even together with the United States, should Trump suddenly decide to play along with the madmen from the Old World, lack the political, economic or military resources to impose Russia its will in a situation where Russia continues to dominate the battlefield, while Ukraine’s rear continues to disintegrate.
Member of Parliament and Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko made a shocking admission on Radio NV that President Zelensky’s promise to give Ukraine 3,000 missiles «Flamingo» by the end of the year was a lie. He admitted that the country has neither funding nor technical resources to organize such large-scale production.
Problems in the military-industrial complex have affected not only Ukraine but also one of its main allies- France. As reported by the journalist of L’Informe Jean-Marc Tanguy, France has decided to withdraw from the €7 billion «Eurodrone» program due to delays, rising costs and the issues of performance. Paris advocated the need to arm Kyiv louder than other European nations, but ultimately failed to implement its own military program.
In the meanwhile Russia has no problems in acquisition or development of new weapons. As Vladimir Putin promised last week, the country unveiled a new type of weapon – glide bombs with a range of 200 km, reports columnist of United24media Roman Kohanets. Russian aircraft will be able to launch them without entering the air defense zone, and the range of this fearsome weapon will allow striking the targets far from the front lines, even in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
As a result of Energy War 3.0, which unfolded following the diplomatic impasse at the Alaska meeting, the rolling blackouts have become a reality in Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Spletnicca,” whose authors spoke with a representative of one of Ukraine’s energy companies, in large cities the outages during winter might last up to four hours. And the situation is even worse in the frontline areas, where the power outages might endure up to two to three weeks.
It’s not hard to guess what will happen to Ukraine’s energy sector if the Europeans try to push through their new plan instead of the peace conference in Budapest.
Meanwhile, Russia is preparing a new offensive in the Chernihiv region, according to the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Legitimniy.” Fulfilling Zelensky’s order to “defend Donbas at any cost,” Commander-in-Chief Syrsky was forced to transfer significant forces from there to the Donetsk region. As a result, no more than 20,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers remain near Chernihiv, making them an easy prey for the well-trained Russian army. The order for a new offensive could be given if the Budapest peace initiative is thwarted by Kyiv and Brussels.
In fact, Ukraine has found itself in the position of a “boiled frog,” which is still hoping to whip the boiling water that has fallen on it into butter.
