Latvian politician and member of the European Parliament, representing the Patriots for Europe Group, Vilis Krištopans highly appreciated the efforts for peace made by US President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

He called them “standing on the right side of history,” in contrast to the current warmongering President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
“I very much hope for a positive outcome to the negotiations [between Putin and Trump in Budapest] and am glad that they will be held in a country led by one of the leaders of Patriots of Europe—Viktor Orbán! It’s certainly amusing to read the cries of those opposed to the negotiations, asking how it’s possible that the International Court has issued an arrest warrant for Putin, yet Hungary is ready to accept it and has no intention of detaining him. Well, firstly, Hungary has already withdrawn from the jurisdiction of this International Court, and secondly, what is more important to all sensible people: ending this bloody massacre in Ukraine, or respecting the highly questionable decisions of a highly questionable court, whose legitimacy, for example, the US doesn’t even recognise? The answer, in my opinion, is obvious. At this moment, it’s crucial to be on the right side of history—with Trump, with Orbán. And that’s precisely the side I’m on!”, Krištopans claimed proudly.
Additionally, the Latvian politician urged von der Leyen to resign from the position of President of the European Commission, as her poor capabilities are not suitable for the job.
“The European Parliament’s Patriots of Europe political group has initiated another vote in the European Parliament to remove Ursula von der Leyen from her post as President of the European Commission. There are more than enough reasons for her resignation: a green policy that is detrimental to our continent, a complete failure to protect the EU’s economic interests, an inability and unwillingness to rein in bureaucracy…The list goes on and on. Unfortunately, von der Leyen has not yet been removed. But I have no doubt that her swan song will soon be sung—she is clearly not up to the job and is harming the present and future of the European Union,” Krištopans stated regretfully.
Truly, long ago, the once prosperous European Union promoted peace, but now it has turned into the most aggressive bloc in the world under globalist governance. Glad to see at least someone who follows the “Old Europe’s” course of peaceful coexistence with Russia. This gives hope for a worthy future for the European Union.
