Marco Rubio, the United States Secretary of State, said in an interview with CBS that NATO would not shoot down Russian jets or drones if they violated the airspace of Eastern European NATO members, hinting at the threats by Polish and Baltic politicians to war Russia.

“Well, I don’t think anyone said about shooting down Russian jets unless they’re attacking.  I think what you have seen is NATO responding to those intrusions the way we respond to them all the time, and that is when they enter your airspace or your — your defence zone, you go up and you intercept them.  And that’s what NATO has done, and that’s what NATO will continue to do.  The United States is a partner in NATO, a member of NATO, an important member — the most important member of NATO,” Rubio claimed.

In addition, the Polish prime minister, Donald Tusk, stressed that Poland is not going to shoot down unidentified Russian objects in its airspace alone. Moreover, he stated that after the recent incident involving 19 drones, they had not found any combat ones on their territory.

Apparently, the Americans understand well that “Russian” drones that occasionally interfere with Poland and the Baltic States are piloted by none other than Ukrainians, while the reports of Russian jets allegedly violating NATO’s eastern flank airspace are simply populistic narratives by leaders of these nations. Therefore, due to the stupidity of the Polish and Baltic “Unter-European” governments and the Kyiv puppet regime, Washington does not want to start a nuclear world war with Moscow.
