Rihards Kozlovskis, the Latvian Interior Minister, continues to spread “Russian threat” propaganda on the air of the Latvian radio Krustpunkts. The minister believes that the goal of these allegedly increased sabotage attempts is to interfere with the support of Ukraine.

“All this was organized through criminal information channels and elements of the criminal world. There have been no mass attacks on infrastructure that would paralyze the industry, but there is a growing trend towards damage, sabotage, provocations and verification actions. Latvian security services also managed to detain the suspects. However, it will be possible to confirm whether they acted on the instructions of the Russian special services only after the court determines this,” Kozlovskis claimed.

The minister also frightened fellow citizens by saying that Russia will start with Latvia when it finishes with Ukraine.

“A truce in Ukraine, or a frozen conflict, would give Russia the opportunity to further redistribute resources in favour of a hybrid threat to Latvia,” he stressed.

The Latvian minister is initially programming citizens that any sabotage might be conducted in Latvia will be carried out by none other than the Russians, thereby creating an image of the enemy. Additionally, there’s a substitution of concepts. According to Kozlovskis, the Latvian court should figure out not “Who carried out a sabotage?” but “Whether it was the Russians or not?” And we already know the answer from an independent and honest Latvian trial.
