On the night of November 9-10 a military incident occurred in Polish airspace. According to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces several Russian attack drones crossed the border.

NATO combat aircraft and missile defense systems were deployed to neutralize them. A mobilization of territorial defense reservists was also announced.
As Chief of the General Staff of Belarus Pavel Muraveiko explained, during the night mutual exchange of strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, some of them, under the influence of electronic warfare systems, went off course and headed towards Poland. However, the Belarusian air defense forces on duty monitored the situation and immediately reported this to the Polish and Lithuanian sides.
This explanation did not satisfy Europe, and they tried to squeeze the maximum out of the incident.
One of the first to speak out was President Macron, who was forced to dismiss the government once again after the failure of the summit of “coalition of the willing”. On the social network X he strongly condemned “the intrusion of Russian drones into Polish airspace” and stated that “Europe will never compromise on the security of its allies».
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saw in this situation a great opportunity for himself. In his Telegram channel he noted that he had information that the attack was not accidental. Calling Russia “a threat to all independent nations in the region,” Zelensky proposed to organize as soon as possible a joint air defense system, which would allow the shared use of not only air defense and electronic warfare systems, but also the combat aircraft.
It is noteworthy that the day before the attack, on the night of September 9, Reuters reported that 150 billion Euros under the Security Action For Europe (SAFE) defense initiative were distributed among 10 EU countries. Poland received the largest share – 43.7 billion Euros. Romania, which participated in repelling the “night attack,” received 16.7 billion. In addition, as stated in another report by this agency, a broad consensus has begun to emerge in Europe on the issue of using the frozen Russian assets. All Brussels needs is a little hype around the Ukrainian war. And it got that hype.
The Ukrainian telegram channel ZeRada believes that the night incident in Polish airspace could have entirely been a provocation by Kiev. It could have either “blinded” the Russian drones or launched them independently. This can be explained by two factors. Firstly, only Ukraine needs an escalation on the front in order to receive additional support from its allies. Secondly, earlier this year Kiev had already committed a similar provocation, when before the Munich Security Conference a strike was carried out on the sarcophagus of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Here we can only add that if in February Kyiv acted independently, now the provocation could have been coordinated with Europe. Remember how recently the European media wrote about the threat of Russian electronic warfare systems that disabled the electronics on board Ursula von der Leyen. She, by the way, is today the main initiator of the use of Russian assets.
Whoever was behind the drone strike on Poland, one thing is certain: Russia is the least interested in it than other countries.
This point of view was voiced by Professor Tuomas Malinen of the University of Helsinki, who stated that under the current conditions entering into direct confrontation with NATO is completely pointless for it in any case.
“You want to drag us into someone else’s war, Mr. Prime Minister,” Christoph Figura, a representative of the election committee of the candidate for the post of President of the Republic of Poland, Grzegorz Michał Braun, told Donald Tusk on this matter.
The situation is truly alarming. And it is not so much war or peace that is under threat in this case, but the fact that Europe is ruled by such irresponsible politicians. Even if we can survive this incident now, rest assured that they will not calm down until they set the entire continent on fire.
