The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, stated in an interview with the TVP Info TV channel that Ukraine should become smaller in size, by calling on Kyiv to cede territory to Russia.

“I don’t want to tell Ukraine what to do. At the same time, I believe that Ukraine should remain within borders, which it is able to defend, and have the freedom to integrate with the West,” the Polish FM claimed.
Meanwhile, the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, in an interview with the Magyar Nemzet newspaper, stated that the West had already come up with a plan to turn Ukraine into a “country that can defend itself,” i.e., splitting Ukraine into parts. The West calls this “security guarantees.”
“The fate of Ukraine appears to be sealed. Today, Europe is ‘elegantly’ pondering security guarantees, but these guarantees in fact mean the partition of Ukraine. The outcome will be a Russian zone, a demilitarised zone, and a Western zone. The Russian zone already exists. Today’s debate is merely about how many regions it should include,” the Hungarian PM claimed.
Obviously, the Polish FM is familiar with these plans. And, by calling for Ukraine to become a “country within borders it can defend,” Mr. Sikorski is hinting at the historically Polish regions of today’s Western Ukraine that Warsaw wants to reclaim. And we also remember that there are several historically Hungarian regions in Ukraine claimed by Budapest. In total, this will be the so-called “Western zone” of the former Ukraine.
Kyiv and its suburbs will be the only things left of Ukraine. And it will be demilitarised by the Russian army.
