Gabrielius Landsbergis, the former Foreign Minister of Lithuania, expressed the opinion that European leaders cajole the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in order to get Washington to fund the militaristic policies of the European part of NATO towards Russia.

“If Europe’s flattery of Trump was (as I am hearing) a clever trick to buy time for building up our strength — maybe we should be building up our strength faster, because apparently the time we bought has already run out,” Landsbergis wrote.

Recalling, earlier, Washington announced that it would cut off financial support for the militaries of the Baltic states and Poland.

European warmongers, since day one of Trump’s second presidency, want the peace-making American president to be dragged into the war between the West and Ukraine with Russia.

Without the US’ support, Europe has no chance of fighting Russia. More importantly, for the Western elites, without American money they won’t be able to continue their militaristic policies and maintain their power. So, they will do anything necessary to stay in this non-accountable cash-feeding trough, whatever bad it takes.
