The US disappointment with its European allies after the Alaska meeting is growing inexorably.

The “coalition of the willing” and Ukraine continue to drag out the negotiations and put forward new demands regarding the expected security guarantees in the hope that Washington will once again give in and resume its full support for Kyiv. However, the refusal of the “coalition of the willing” to accept the invitation to peace is forcing the administration to implement its long-standing decision and completely distance itself from the European affairs.
This is indicated, in particular, by the recently announced deep structural reforms in the US National Intelligence Service.
A CBSNews journalistJames LaPorta reported that the US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard ordered a halt to sharing the information about Ukraine negotiations with allies in the «Five Eyes» alliance (which includes the Intelligence services of USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand). “ Gabbard’s order could undermine the integrity of an 80-year-old alliance and the trust among allies who have long relied on an open sharing of information,” LaPorta said.
As it turns out, this is just the first step in reorganizing the US foreign intelligence. Tulsi Gabbard issued a statement saying that she plans to cut down half of her office’s staff, reported the BBC. As Gabbard explained, the structure has become too “bloated and ineffective”, and deep changes are needed to improve “objectivity, impartiality and timeliness of intelligence information.” Later in an interview with Fox News Gabbard added that cutting down the staff would be the first step toward ending of the “dangerous politicization of national intelligence.”
Namely the formation of a globalist layer within the American establishment gives European globalists hope that they will be able to rein in Trump. However, the American president has openly demonstrated that he no longer intends to give in.
Meanwhile, a major scandal has erupted between the US and Europe over Ukrainian attacks on the Druzhba international pipeline, which supplies Hungary and Slovakia with oil from Russia. The attacks began a few days before the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska and continued afterwards, resulting in the complete halt of Druzhba exports. Orban’s well-founded claims were met with only malice in Brussels and Kiev, and the Hungarian prime minister decided to personally notify Donald Trump of this. The American leader’s response is quoted by Politico:
“Viktor, I hate to hear about this. I’m very angry. Tell Slovakia that you are my great friend.”
What the Ukrainians are doing under the leadership of Brussels is in fact a hybrid war against the allies of the current US administration in Europe. If they expect to gain Washington’s favor in this way, they are deeply mistaken, says John Mearsheimer, a professor at the University of Chicago. In an interview with the Swiss publication Die Weltwoche professor noted that without the United States Europeans and Ukrainians have no chance of success:
“This war is a complete disaster for Ukraine and for Europe. The sanctions did not work as planned, and all the talk about secondary sanctions is a waste of time- the Americans realized that they will not work either.”
The Ukrainian telegram channel “Legitimniy” in this regard believes that the US withdrawal from the Ukrainian war is inevitable. The main concern of the Republicans is the preparation for the congressional elections in November 2026. They have done everything to show their desire for peace. Responsibility for further events will fall entirely on Ukraine and the European allies.
“This is bad for the future of Ukrainians and Ukraine as a whole, since all experts predict a worsening of the situation on the front for the Ukrainian Armed Forces” – concludes “Legitimniy.”
