The Netherlands is ready to transfer two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Poland, as well as send 300 soldiers to that country for six months. The military initiatives were announced by Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on his Facebook page.

From December 1 to June 1, 2026, 300 Dutch soldiers are expected to take over the protection of the NATO logistics hub in Rzeszow, Poland, from which the Western military support for Ukraine comes.
“This deployment helps achieve three important goals at the same time: protecting NATO territory, deterring the Russian aggression and providing unwavering support to Ukraine. In this way, we are keeping the Russian threat as far away as possible,” Brekelmans said.
Earlier, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker promised that American weapons purchased by the Netherlands would “soon arrive” in Ukraine.
