The Lithuanian president, Ginatas Nausėda, said after a video meeting with the Coalition of the willing said that the Baltic republic is ready to deploy its soldiers in Ukraine.

“We [the Coalition of the willing] must be ready to deploy forces to ensure security in Ukraine as soon as the right conditions are created for this. Lithuania is ready to contribute to the joint forces by providing military personnel and military training opportunities,” Nausėda stated.
The Lithuanian president added that during these 3.5 years of the conflict, European security had suffered the most, therefore, peace should be achieved only on Ukrainian and European terms.
The closer the Russian and American presidents are to concluding peace in Ukraine, the louder those who lost the war bark about unrealistic conditions for resolving this crisis. Moreover, Nausėda apparently forgot that the conflict began in 2022 due to NATO forces wishing to be stationed in Ukraine. Therefore, Mr. President should be reminded that if any Lithuanian soldiers set foot on Ukrainian soil, Lithuania will test the might of Russia on its own skin.
