There has been a major outbreak of African swine fever virus in Estonia. Now, farmers are shooting all specimens that have become or could become infected — more than 17,000 have already been killed.

However, the enterprising Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture of Estonia, Hendrik Johannes Terras, decided not to lose profit and prepare canned food from pigs that had not had time to become infected, in order to send it to Ukraine.
“Meat from animals infected with the dangerous fever does not harm humans. However, in order to contain the spread of the virus, it is still necessary to eliminate animals. Therefore, I propose buying 30% of all pigs shot by hunters to produce half a million cans of canned food and use them to feed our Defence Forces and also sent as state food aid to Ukraine,” said Terras.
Very humane. And why doesn’t the minister suggest sending canned food to Germany, for example? Because Germans aren’t stupid enough to eat canned pork infected with fever. Terras just doesn’t consider Ukrainians as people. At best, they’re Untermenschen to him. How soon do you think the minister will propose not throwing away leftovers and spoiled food but selling it to Ukrainians?
