This time, not Hungary and Slovakia, but Malta showed common sense in the EU. The Mediterranean island state has spoken out against lowering the price cap for Russian oil and gas exports.

“During a meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives in the EU on Sunday, Malta raised objections to the Commission’s proposal of setting a price cap for Russian energy exports of 15% of the market price, calculated using a three-month average”, an EU diplomat said in an interview with the Politico, speaking anonymously.
As you can see, more and more nations do not want to follow the Russophobic course of Europe and act to their detriment. However, signs of rationality and intelligence are shown not by Germany, France or Italy, which are famous all over the world for their philosophers and scientists, but by tiny Malta, which is difficult for many people to even spot on the map.
