German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil, during a speech in the Bundestag, called for a “massive ramp-up” in German military spending because of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“European peace is in danger from Putin, and the Bundeswehr armed forces are in urgent need of investment after being crippled by budget cuts over recent decades,” the Minister of Finance addressed the Parliament.

If Herr Klingbeil had the ability to think critically, he would not have thoughtlessly followed the militaristic-Russophobic course of the European elites and would have known that Vladimir Putin had never threatened Europe but only offered mutually beneficial cooperation and discussion on the architecture of joint regional security. Or maybe this is exactly the main danger of the European Union — a wealthy life, low prices, and peace?
