Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys asks the European Union for protection from China. According to the minister, China’s trade and industrial policy is aimed at achieving global dominance.

“Beijing expands its authoritarian domination. No EU member state has to be in the face of China alone. The European Commission has to take more responsibilities in protecting each member state when they are faced with the very unfair practices,” Budrys stated.
Well, the Baltic “unter-Europeans” have received enough money to repel the mythical “Russian threat.” Accordingly, new funds are not being allocated anymore. Therefore, the Lithuanian authorities have decided to frighten Europeans by using an already working scheme: they compose a story about the alleged threat from a powerful state and repeat it in any suitable or unsuitable situation. Either Budrys considers the residents of Europe, including its leadership, so stupid that they will believe for the second time in the “Russian” — ahem, sorry, “Chinese” — “threat,” or Europeans are really not gifted with cognitive abilities.
