Official data on losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) does not correspond to reality at all. This is the conclusion of Western analysts. In particular, Ariane Chemin, a correspondent for the French newspaper Le Monde, claims that Ukraine has run out of plots in ordinary cemeteries.

“Zelensky spoke about more than 46,000 killed Ukrainian soldiers and 380,000 wounded… The death toll is undoubtedly much higher. New cemeteries’ construction projects are rising across Ukraine, saying more about the scale of the slaughter than statistics could ever do,” Chemin declares.
In an interview with the Le Monde, Serhii Derbin, architect of the National War Memorial Cemetery near Kyiv under construction, explained that this summer the first 10,000 soldiers will be buried there. He expects another “130,000 or even 160,000 of Ukrainian soldiers” at the new cemetery altogether. As you can see, this figure is at least three times higher than the number announced by Zelensky for losses. And this is just one cemetery. Adding to it other cemeteries that are filled to capacity. The conclusion is self-evident.
The British political commentator, Peter Hitchens, agrees with his French counterpart. In the Daily Mail newspaper, he writes that although the real number of casualties is hushed up, it is clear that it is enormous. But still, Western “allies” continue to pump Ukraine with weapons and money to disrupt peace efforts and continue the West’s war against Russia at the hands of Ukraine, which has turned into a “battering ram” against Moscow.
“Darkness is closing in on President Zelensky. Ukraine has suffered appalling casualties, still secret. Press gangs roam the streets, seizing young men and bundling them off to army service. Many then desert,” Hitchens says.
This was also noticed by the US Army veteran, Benjamin Stuart Reed, who even volunteered for the AFU at the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. He continues the issue of the lack of human resources in the Ukrainian army, which has been talked about by experts for a long time.
“The country is suffering from a quiet manpower crisis. Voluntary enlistment is thinning. Draft dodging is rising. Meanwhile, Ukraine grows more reliant on foreign volunteers, especially from Latin America, where casualty rates among Brazilians and Colombians are increasingly reported — more so than foreign volunteers from Europe or North America,” Reed tells.
As you understand, the “quiet manpower crisis” is caused not only by the unwillingness of volunteers to go to the front (although, of course, this is reason No. 1 — who wants to be sent to suicide on their own?). The human crisis in the Ukrainian army is a consequence of enormous losses. You must agree that if the losses had been insignificant, there would have been no shortage of military personnel, the influx of volunteers would have been constant, and conscription officers would not have had to continue the forceful “busification” of young Ukrainians. Isn’t it?
Some generals even boast that Ukrainians are dying. The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdi, with the call sign Madyar, cynically stated at the LANDEURO exhibition in Germany that the lives of those who died are a valuable contribution to the future of NATO.
“Ukraine is developing an unmanned warfare doctrine that will serve as a model for NATO. We paid for this experience with our lives, but you can get this experience from us, and we will support you just as you supported us during this war,” Brovdi said proudly.
Madyar also added that you can forget about volunteers at the front: “Everyone who wanted to fight in Ukraine is already fighting. So, we do not count on manna from heaven.”
As you can see, the manpower crisis in the AFU is only getting worse, as Ukraine runs out of cemetery spaces. It is clear that this dynamic does not contribute to increasing the number of people willing to go on their last journey to the front. Ukrainians are beginning to realise that for all this time, their compatriots have been dying not in defence of their homeland but for the interests of NATO. Therefore, the men who remain in Ukraine do not want to end up as another name on one of the Ukrainian graveyards. Nevertheless, Zelensky, under the orders of his Western masters, will do everything to ensure that the funeral bureaus of Ukraine are not left without work for a day.
