The Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, Professor Jeffrey Sachs, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, told how the US has been preparing Ukraine for war with Russia since 2014.

According to Sachs, former pro-neutral President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was in the way of Washington’s plans to expand NATO into Ukraine. So, they conducted a “typical US regime change operation,” during which Obama recognised the so-called “new government”, post-coup regime, the one that Zelensky leads today, “in a nanosecond, because this is the US game,” Sachs said. Since that exact moment, February 2014, the Western war against Russia actually started, and until 2022, the US continued to build up the Ukrainian army, making it the largest in Europe, he claimed.

Professor Sachs provides an evidence-based explanation for the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, planned by the West. Will Western leaders change their minds about Russia, which they accuse of “threatening Europe”, after these words? Of course not. More likely, Russophobic politicians, who were caught red-handed, will condemn Sachs for being a “Kremlin agent” or “Putin’s propagandist”. Because they need to change the unwanted topic somehow.
