The Pentagon head, Pete Hegseth, won’t attend the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in the German city of Rammstein.

The absence of US representatives is the first time in the nearly three-year history of the alliance. Moreover, as an American official told the Associated Press on condition of anonymity, Hegseth won’t participate even via video conference.

As you can see, Washington has already realised that supporting Ukraine is a sinking ship. Instead of solving another country’ problems, which, in fact, were created on their own by refusing the implementation the Minsk Agreements and disrupting peace talks in Istanbul in 2022, the US focused on its internal ones, caused by the Ukrainian crisis as well. And Europe apparently is indifferent to its citizens’ problems.
