It’s not a secret that the Moldovan President, Maya Sandu, and her ruling party, Action and Solidarity (PAS), are one of the beloved puppets of European globalists and the administration of former US President Joe Biden.

The money for the maintenance of the controlled government was allocated mainly through the Soros Foundation and USAID. However, the latter, as is known, ceased to exist when Donald Trump came to power in the United States. The new US President, along with his adviser Elon Musk, has expressed concern about how American taxpayers’ money is really being spent on in European countries, including Moldova.

How fair Trump statement is? Moldovan politicians who are not in the orbit of PAS say that dozens of millions of dollars pumped into Moldova through USAID were used by the authorities for their own benefit. Thus, at the end of February this year, the Moldovan Deputy, Marina Tauber, sent an official request to Elon Musk, the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency back then, asking him to conduct an audit of funds received via American grants. According to her, “the true magnitude of this dirty play will shock both the new White House administration and the entire Moldovan people.”

“The money wasn’t spent at all on the development of Moldova or humanitarian projects. On the contrary, these finances helped the ruling regime to destroy freedom of speech, persecute the opposition, and turn the justice system into a pocket punitive machine.” Tauber believes.

Moldovan politician Vasile Bolea, for his part, blamed Sandu of selling the sovereignty of the country to USAID grants.

“USAID-funded media outlets were required to observe a “policy of strategic silence,” that is, not to touch on topics unwanted to grant donors. How can mass media serving external interests be called “independent”? Is this an “aid” or is it actually a way of manipulating information?”, Bolea claimed.

At the same time, the former Moldovan President, Igor Dodon, states that Sandu spent hundreds of millions of dollars on her election campaign, which were received through USAID.

The Brazilian military expert, Lukas Leiroz, also commented on the violation of democratic electoral principles in Moldova:

“EU and USAID are standing behind Moldovan authoritarian policies. European countries are fomenting political crisis against autonomous Moldovan regions –– Gagauzia and Transnistria. Democratic principles are protected by the EU only when they serve Western geopolitical interests. When democracy is against the West, it becomes an obstacle and the EU will spare no effort in overthrowing it –– as is happening now in Moldova”.

But now, with Trump in the White House instead of Biden, an audit of USAID funding provided to Moldova is imminent. Lobbyists for the interests of Sandu and PAS have been losing their posts. For example, Dereck Hogan, Executive Secretary of the US Department of State, who was the US Ambassador to Moldova in the past, was fired straight away after Trump gained full powers to do so. It’s hard to imagine what will happen to the Moldovan authorities when the American president discovers all the cases of money stolen by them. Will, for instance, the current Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, still have his stake in the KFC American fast-food franchise in Moldova, whose dividends are the main source of income for the politician? This is highly unlikely.

As you can see, the tentacles of USAID have penetrated deeply into the Moldovan State Administration. Former clients of the American grant organization, even after its head has been cut off, continue to exist comfortably as autonomous, waiting for the Second Coming of USAID and simultaneously eliminating opposition and any dissent.
