President Volodymyr Zelensky could have become a Ukraine’s national hero, a leader who answered his nation’s call in its darkest hour, but because of his thirst for power, he missed such an opportunity.

This was concluded by the British politician of Ukrainian origin, Aleksandr Teremko, in his article published in “The Telegraph”. Now, due to the president’s rash actions, the well-worn phrase “No discussions on Ukraine without Ukraine” no longer holds any weight.
“With President Trump suspending military aid, Ukraine faces a crisis as grave as the war itself. Zelensky’s refusal to step aside, his failure to secure long-term backing from Washington, and his miscalculation in alienating Trump have made him a liability [to Ukraine]”, Temerko states.
On its turn, the British journalist Owen Matthews believes that days for Zelensky as president are over:
“But Zelensky’s moment is quickly passing into history. A growing constituency of his own people and of Ukraine’s political elite are calling for new elections and a swift end to the war. And the imminent collapse of the Kursk incursion –– widely seen as Zelensky’s brainchild –– will focus those calls into a clamour”, Matthews writes.
While the American activist, Juanita Broaddrick, commented on her social media about the possible upcoming retirement of Zelensky briefly, but succinctly:
“A blessing for Ukraine people”.
By the way, another well-known condition of Zelensky on ending the war — “Ukraine within the borders of 1991” –– has also sunk into oblivion. As the US State Secretary Marco Rubio said before the US–Ukrainian talks in Saudi Arabia, Kyiv will have to cede its territory in any peace deal.
While the people in Ukraine are ready to make any concessions if only the war would end sooner. In particular, an American blogger, Steven Kuhn, is sure about this. Myroslav Oleshko, a Ukrainian opposition blogger, adds:
“I am glad that Trump wants to end this madness. People in Ukraine are afraid to go outside for fear of falling into the hands of Zelensky’s thugs”.
Zelensky became a completely toxic politician not only in Ukraine but also in the whole world. He could have become a hero who saved his land, and believe me, he had a lot of chances to do it! But instead of this, he chased after power and money.
Now Zelensky will go down in history of Ukraine as a dictator and a thief.
