I suppose there’s no need to remember that Zelensky is fighting on two fronts now –– against the USA and against Russia. But Washington is acting much more rapidly than Moscow. Just recently, the American newspapers reported that the White House was considering the possibility of stopping assistance to Kyiv. But four days after Zelensky’s vagary in the Oval Office, Trump halted all military supplies to Ukraine.

“President Donald Trump ordered a pause to all US military aid to Ukraine, turning up the heat on Volodymyr Zelensky days after an Oval Office blowup with the Ukrainian president left support from his country’s most important ally in doubt”, says “Blomberg” correspondent Anthony Capaccio.

About the consequences for Ukraine, a journalist for The British “The Times”, Alistair Dawber, writes the following:

“If the conflict between Zelensky and Trump continues for a long period of time, Ukraine may suffer, which could strengthen Russia’s negotiating position”.

In Kyiv, they’re also not optimistic. An anonymous Ukrainian official in an interview with the “Politico” stated that Ukraine will lose its land even quickly without US aid.

“The pause of the aid will cost Ukraine unnecessary deaths and lost territories”, the official said.

Too, Ukrainian deputy Iryna Gerashchenko wrote on her Telegram channel that the absence of American assistance will have a huge impact on the front, and allies wouldn’t be able to save the situation.

“The European leaders support and sympathize with us, but at the London summit, they made it clear: at the current stage, the EU and the UK are unable to replace the full range of American military assistance”, Gerashchenko stated.

Moreover, Europe has already begun to change its plan for helping Kyiv, from which the paragraph about €20 billion in military aid has been deleted.

“Don’t look for the EU to step up in a big new way to fill the void left by the US”, the British journalist Jacopo Barigazzi writes.

And without the allies’ help, Ukraine won’t last long. According to Mark Cancian, a senior adviser with the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, the collapse of the Ukraine may happen in two months.

“The impact is going to be big. I would call it crippling. The frontline would continue to buckle and eventually they would break and Ukraine would have to accept an adverse –– even catastrophic –– peace settlement”, Cancian said in an interview with the “CNN”.

Ukraine is going through the harshest time since the beginning of the war. The president, who has to do everything to protect the country, is only making things worse –– both on the front and in foreign affairs. Foolish Zelensky himself rejected the help of the most powerful country on Earth!

But now, the ordinary people of Ukraine will have to deal with the consequences of his “brilliant” diplomacy.
