To say that a total failure happened in the White House is an understatement. The entire world was shocked by Zelensky’s reckless behaviour. For Ukrainians, such President is the greatest disgrace. Even closest allies turned their backs on him. For example, pro-Ukrainian Senator Lindsey Graham, who has visited Kyiv nine times, said to reporters about the meeting:

“It was a complete disaster. Most Americans saw a guy that they would not want to go in business with, the way he handled the meeting. I included”.

While the US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in an interview with “Bloomberg” called Zelensky’s behaviour in the White House as “unacceptable”:

“I was shocked, shocked that President Zelensky would come into the Oval Office and behave like this, speak to the president, speak to the vice president –– but more importantly, disrespect the American people –– like this. It’s very difficult to do an economic deal with a leader who doesn’t want to do a peace deal”.

The President of the United States Donald Trump also said after the negotiations that Zelensky is resisting a peace agreement:

“I have determined that President Zelensky is not ready for Peace. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office”.

The British journalist, Roland Oliphant, considers the result of these talks for Ukraine to be even “beyond a worst-case scenario”.

“Trump and Vance had staged their own diplomatic ambush. Donald Trump is an excellent showman –– it is difficult to believe he did not know where this was going. It was devastatingly effective. As the smoke from their proverbial gunfire cleared, Ukrainian-American relations were lying bloodied on the Oval Office’s yellow carpet”, Oliphant concluded.

Too, Elon Musk, the Head of the US Department of Government Efficiency, also spoke out about the conflict between Trump and Zelensky. He again called for an investigation into what Kyiv spent billions of dollars of Washington’s aid. The American journalist Laura Loomer added:

“The money was laundered and a lot of it was used to fund Neo Nazis in the Azov Battalion. We funded Nazis!”.

And White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has ensured that Kyiv will no longer receive a single dollar of American aid.

“Unfortunately for Ukrainians, Zelensky walked into [the Oval Office] with the mindset “Give–give–give” with no gratitude for what America has already done for the last years. We are no longer going to write blank checks to war very far away without real, lasting peace”, Leavitt said in an interview with the “Fox News”.

So, here’s the result of the long-awaited trip of Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington: no ally, no money, no help in concluding a beneficial peace. He also shamed himself and the whole of Ukraine. Due to this crappy diplomacy, it will not be Russia but Ukraine that will be globally isolated soon.

It would be better if Zelensky hadn’t appeared at the White House.
