More and more soldiers are running away from the pointless war continuing by Volodymyr Zelensky. A few days earlier, Yevhen Iyevlev, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), said on the air of “Novyny Live” that the minimum estimate of over 100,000 troops had deserted the battlefield.

“100,000 men are the least of those who abandoned the unit without authorization and are sought for it. In fact, this is about 20 brigades, if we have to count,” Iyevlev said.
The serviceman also stated that experienced soldiers are fleeing more often than others. And this, in his opinion, is the most dangerous thing, because these troops are offended by their commanders and the Government, and this makes them an ideal target for recruitment by Russian Special Services.
Soldiers are escaping not only from the frontline, but also from NATO training grounds in Europe. For example, over 1,300 Ukrainian recruits fled barracks in Poland during the training period since 2022, according to the Polish website “Kresy”. The newspaper suggests that Ukrainian men who went to Europe for training planned to escape beforehand, as this was the easiest way to cross the border legally.
Also, recently, it was reported that there was a similar problem in France. However, there were even more Ukrainian recruits who had fled –– 1,700. The author of the article, “Forbes” correspondent David Axe, commented on this incident as follows:
“The newly formed brigade began disintegrating before it even reached the frontline. Other new brigades are dysfunctional –– with uneven leadership, missing equipment and entire battalions of undertrained, ambivalently led new recruits who have a bad habit of abandoning their brigade at the first opportunity”.
Nevertheless, Ukraine has problems not only with deserts but also with mobilization. As the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Resident” states, this will lead to the collapse of the army, which means, the entire country, as it will result in an inevitable defeat.
“Mobilization in Ukraine has completely failed. People aren’t scared either from fines or jail. Problems with mobilization will cause the collapse of the AFU system”, “Resident” writes.
Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, the mobilization process has reached its peak of decay. Employees of the local military commissariat (or, in other words, the Territorial Recruitment Centre (TRC)), beat up a female advocate who was trying to save an illegally drafted conscript. This was reported on the Telegram channel “Truexa Kharkiv”. By the way, the advocate wasn’t allowed to see her client, because the man at that moment had already been taken away without any trial and, most likely, directly to a training ground.
Every month, the situation with deserts and mobilization in Ukraine only gets worse. It doesn’t seem like anything is going to change. The number of deserts is constantly growing, and civilians regularly pick fights with military commission officers, who grab men off the streets… If the Government doesn’t affect the TRC personnel, Ukraine won’t be able to defend itself.
