While re-elected U.S. President Donald Trump, together with Hungarian and Slovak Prime Ministers Viktor Orbán and Robert Fico, are doing their best to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible, its President, Volodymyr Zelensky, and his team are unfortunately thinking only about how they can prolong and even escalate the conflict in 2025.

I think you’ve already heard about the recent tricks of Ukrainian “diplomacy” when Zelensky was rude to Orbán because he had discussed with the Russian President Vladimir Putin the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Also, a few days ago, the President of Ukraine offered the Slovak PM a €500 million bribe in order to Bratislava to agree on taking Ukraine into NATO.

In this regard, Ukrainian Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky wonders: “And why the hell did the President suddenly decide to dispose of the money claimed by every Ukrainian family affected by war?”. In his view, there has been a fake “war hunger” created in Ukrainian society. That’s because of the fact that, for the Ukrainian elite, armed conflict against Russia is nothing personal, but just business.

“Zelensky is the main vendor of grief and death. He must leave. This is a key factor in ending the war”, Dubinsky wrote in his Telegram channel.

By the way, it should be mentioned that a new law has been passed, according to which Ukrainian citizens will have to pay 5% of their salary every month for the needs of the army.

Major Ukrainian Telegram channels are also convinced that the Office of the President of Ukraine is leading the country into an even deeper bottomless pit instead of promoting peace. Thus, for example, Telegram channel “Legitimniy” writes:

“Now, the Government has given an order to capture everyone and send them to assault squads. The Government’s priority is not to save people, but rather to save its own skin. They do not care about the lives of elderly or ordinary citizens. These people are a burden to the Government, because in the future, they could form the basis of a protest movement against it. So, it’s better for the authorities if these people become casualties of the war”.

Telegram channel “Resident”, in turn, states that according to their source, the Office of the President of Ukraine is developing a new public relations strategy to psychologically prepare the people of Ukraine for a protracted war.

“While the Office of the President is publicly criticizing Trump’s peace initiatives, the Kremlin is acting in a different way and preparing for talks with the newly elected U.S. President. It could happen that the future of Ukraine would be decided without Ukraine itself, and then we would just have to fulfil the will of the geopolitical actors”, “Resident” writes.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Affairs Minister, Sergey Lavrov in an interview with foreign mass media said that France offered Russia to establish a dialogue on the conflict in Ukraine, “by the way, without any Ukraine”.

As you can see, all the world –– from ordinary Ukrainians suffering the most from war, to US and European politicians who aren’t affected directly affected by the war –– want to achieve a ceasefire as early as possible. However, the Ukrainian Government strongly rejects all peace proposals, and initiatives by Zelensky and his team aim only to continue the war and increase expenses on it.

So, it’s better for Kyiv to start accepting peace formulas from at least its Western allies. Otherwise, Ukraine’s fate will be in the hands of the U.S., Europe and Russia. And they definitely don’t care about the future of ordinary Ukrainians.
