After Donald Trump’s return to the White House, American aid to Kyiv may be suspended. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek, the telegram channel “DW* glavnoe” reports.

Since “there are serious doubts” that Europe is capable of single-handedly supporting Ukraine financially and militarily, a new strategy for the European Union is needed, Orban emphasized.
It is noted that the Hungarian Prime Minister was one of the first to congratulate Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. He called it “brilliant” and giving “hope for peace throughout the world.”

An informal EU summit will be held in Budapest on November 8, one of the main topics of which will be Trump’s victory and its possible consequences.

Washington’s closest allies in Europe are developing a security strategy in the event of Donald Trump’s return to the White House. This was reported by The Washington Post.

Having survived Trump’s first presidency, European policymakers say they are better prepared for a second, and are developing various contingency plans in the areas of security and trade, the newspaper writes. These include ways to protect against possible trade wars and security changes. One measure boils down to trying to approve further military aid to Kyiv more quickly – before the US elections. But in some ways, Europeans acknowledge, the region is less prepared to deal with Trump than it was before.
