Russian intelligence services warned Serbia of an impending coup. This was stated by the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic, the newspaper Večernje novosti reports.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic confirmed that Russian intelligence services warned him about the preparation of mass unrest in Serbia, the ultimate goal of which is a coup and the overthrow of the legally elected leadership of the country, the newspaper writes.
“Today we received official information from the Russian Federation through official channels. We are looking into this. BIA (Security and Information Agency, Serbian intelligence service) and people specializing in this are doing their job. Those who dream of doing something by force will not achieve it. Serbia is inexorably moving forward, and it cannot be stopped,” Vucic said.
According to the Serbian president, there is no way to stop him from “becoming part of history” because he “still has two years to do a lot.”
